UK OSINT Community Hosts Meet Up After International Security Expo

UK OSINT Community, a non-profit aiming to bolster OSINT capabilities nationwide, is hosting its next meet-up on Tuesday, 24 September 2024. Nearly 200 OSINT enthusiasts are expected to gather in Fulham, London, following the first day of the International Security Expo to socialise and network in an informal setting. 

The non-profit’s inaugural ‘OSINT Unplugged’ event is designed to be more relaxed, unlike the ‘UK OSINT Seminar Series’, which focuses on formal workshops, training, and technology showcases. Attendees will receive a complimentary drink, and more importantly, have the opportunity to connect with like-minded professionals, exchange ideas, and build relationships.

Osaka gears up for the 2025 World Expo with memories of hosting a half-century ago

OSAKA, Japan (AP) — Visitors to Tokyo and Kyoto might not realize it, but Osaka — one of Japan’s biggest and oldest cities, known more as a business hub than a tourist destination — is gearing up to host next year’s World Exposition.

The city has been plastered with the Expo’s red-and-blue “Myaku-Myaku” mascot for months and is abuzz with preparations. For many here, the excitement is mixed with nostalgia for the last World Expo hosted by Japan, back in 1970.

There are doubters, especially outside Osaka. Construction costs are turning out to be exponentially higher than expected. Preparations have been marred by political and business infighting. Baku to host expo dedicated to Uzbekistan’s sewing traditions

From March 17 to July 1, the Heydar Aliyev Center in Baku will host the exhibition “Heritage in Stitches: Journey through Embroidery and Sewing Traditions of Uzbekistan”, dedicated to the cultural-historical heritage and folk costume of the country from the late 19th to the early 20th centuries, UzA reports.

The exhibition will feature more than 148 objects of decorative and applied art from the country’s museum collection, including gold-embroidered chapans, a key element of men’s national costume, samples of suzane, and jewelry by ancient artisans from different regions of the country.
