Plymouth is hosting a festival dedicated to seagulls

Britain’s most notorious avian troublemakers are being celebrated in the nation’s inaugural festival dedicated to seagulls. Gullfest, taking place in Plymouth, will feature a two-hour parade where enthusiasts donning costumes of the feathered creatures will perform a song crafted in their honour.

The event is centred around the 37 Looe Street gallery and will see approximately 40 performers and artists engaging in music, spoken word, poetry, painting, and film events to pay homage to gulls as “majestic” companions to humans, reports the Daily Star.

London to host its first festival dedicated to pink wines at Fulham Palace

London’s first dedicated rosé wine festival is to be held in May in response to the remarkable rise in popularity of “the pink stuff” over recent years.

Three day event The Rosé Festival takes place at the start of the London summer season from 27th to 29th May at Fulham Palace.

Visitors will be able to sample more than 40 rosé brands from producers such as Maison Mirabeau, Minuty, Ultimate Provence, and Léoube.

Semnan hosting festival of Silk Road traditions

TEHRAN – The ancient city of Semnan is playing host to a cultural heritage festival dedicated to Silk Road traditions.

Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday, Semnan’s tourism chief announced the launch of the Taska festival as part of Semnan’s programs to mark being a member of the International Tourism Alliance of Silk Road Cities.

“The festival is in line with the selection of Semnan as Iran’s representative in the International Tourism Alliance of Silk Road Cities.”

“Taska is a type of traditional container used in Semnan, and by organizing this festival and selecting this name, we aim to highlight the local culture of Semnan, local foods, and tourism and cultural heritage potentials.”
