UK web traffic to incel websites sees huge rise, Centre for Countering Digital Hate finds

THERE has been a six-fold rise in UK web traffic to websites promoting “incel” culture, new analysis has found.

The Centre for Countering Digital Hate found that UK web traffic data to three of the largest “incel” sites has grown from 114,420 monthly visits to 638,505, over the period of March to November 2021.

The Times reported that users on the sites referred to Plymouth mass shooter Jake Davison as a hero and called for “all women to be raped at least once”.

Davison, 22, killed his mother, Maxine Davison, 51, after a row and then shot dead four others in a 12-minute attack.

His social media usage suggested an obsession with “incel”, involuntary celibate, culture, which promotes the idea that society is defined by physical appearance.

SEATTLE – The first in-person rodent control academy hosted by the Washington State Pest Management Association was a great success, said Billy Olesen, representative of the association and CEO of Washington’s PestStop Pest Control. After a rodent academy was suggested, vendors like Bell Laboratories, Liphatech, and Bayer stepped up to help actualize the idea. The King County Health Department’s rodent team also played a part in the event.

Parler, the social media alternative to Twitter, has reportedly found web hosting refuge after the platform was booted from Amazon’s web hosting services.

What’s the background?

After the deadly riots at the U.S. Capitol last Wednesday, Parler became a central target of Big Tech over allegations that it was hosting content that helped incite the violence.

Parler was eventually kicked from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, meaning the app is unavailable for download on the two most widely used smartphone operating systems. Amazon Web Services then suspended web hosting service Sunday. All three companies claimed Parler did not sufficiently moderate content posted to its platform.

Parler CEO John Matze denounced the decisions as a “coordinated attack by the tech giants to kill…
