Glastonbury fan shows off hilarious flag dedicated to BBC host who gave middle finger

Maryam Moshiri is going to Glastonbury – but not in the way you may expect.

The BBC News presenter’s face will be appearing on a flag that will be proudly waved during performances on the Glasto stage. And the cheeky design has left everyone laughing.

Newsreader Maryam was hilariously caught giving the middle finger to the camera last year. It was a total accident– and she immediately tried to pass it off by reading her bulletin seriously after.

The footage soon swept the internet, leading to Maryam to make an apology. Thankfully though, people loved the mishap so much that they have branded Maryam a legend.

And her colleagues seem to be equally besotted with the unusual take on newsreading. Rich Wolfenden, who works on the Beeb’s Final Score programme, is planning to pay tribute…

Niagara Label Hosting FLAG Annual Meeting

Niagara Label is nestled within the picturesque village of Akron, NY, just on the outskirts of Buffalo. For over 38 years, this family-owned enterprise has thrived. The story of Niagara Label begins in 1985 when Mike and Margie Whitmarsh, fueled by a desire to forge their own path, decided to start a label printing company.

Niagara Label was the embodiment of Mike Whitmarsh’s relentless dedication. Spending his mornings nurturing customer relationships and securing orders, the hum of the Webtron 650 press would fill the afternoons producing labels that Mike would meticulously rewind, pack, and often hand-deliver to his customers.

Within a month, Niagara Label welcomed its first employee. After transitioning its modest 600-square-foot rented space into multiple larger locations, the…

Danish King didn’t wave Palestinian flag in street protest

A video being shared widely online falsely claims to show the new King of Denmark waving a Palestinian flag in support of a demonstration in Copenhagen.

In the clip, which is circulating on Facebook and X (formerly Twitter), a man on a balcony can be seen holding the Palestinian flag and waving, while pro-Palestine protesters gather in the street.

A caption on Facebook also widely shared alongside the video says: “The King of Denmark, King Frederik X, waves the Palestinian flag from a balcony as he greets hundreds of protesters demonstrating in Copenhagen in solidarity with the people of Palestine.”

However, the man pictured in the footage is not the Danish monarch, and the video was actually filmed in Malmö, Sweden.

Another video, which is captioned as…

Image of union flag at half-mast over Buckingham Palace was taken following the death of the Queen

Following various rumours surrounding the health of senior members of the Royal Family, a number of posts on social media have claimed this week that the union flag has been seen flying at half-mast over Buckingham Palace.

Some of these posts have either directly suggested or implied that this is due to the death of King Charles III or the Princess of Wales. Both have been seen in public in recent days.

It was shared on X (formerly Twitter) by Al Jazeera news correspondent Rory Challands shortly after the announcement of the Queen’s death.

Flying a flag at half-mast is often used as a gesture of…

Adele filmed holding Mexican flag not Palestinian one

A video on TikTok with 3.7 million views claims to show a video of the singer Adele holding the Palestinian flag while singing the song ‘When We Were Young’. Similar posts have been shared on Facebook, Instagram and X (formerly Twitter).

In a longer video clip of the same part of the gig, where she walks amongst the audience and is handed items by some of them, it’s clear that she’s actually holding the flag of Mexico. Although it includes patches of green, white and red, like the Palestinian flag, the coat of arms of the Mexican flag can clearly be seen 48 seconds in when she hands it to someone.

The clips appear to have been filmed on the 30 September performance as part of her ‘Weekends with Adele’ residency in Las Vegas. The longer video above had been…
