I am getting into building directories. Although i first used React i am now using Next. Next seemed to be the best option SEO and SOTA wise. Also the deployment is really easy and fast to setup with vercel. This makes the building barrier really low.

So i built sustainabilitysoftwares dot com to get used to building directories. It is a selection of software solutions (or their enablers like webhosting) which contribute in some way to sustainability.

I would love to get some feedback and know how i can improve the directory. Looking forward to every input!

What to be aware before importing MariaDB .sql into a MySQL database? – Databases – SitePoint Forums

Hello, layman here. Having MariaDB database (v. 10.6.18) on a shared hosting.
If my new hosting provider has no MariaDB but MySQL and I will be importing using PHPMyAdmin, how to spot the issues?

“Before migration (from MariaDB to MySQL), you will need to convert data in other storage engines to InnoDB”

List storage engines (SQL tab of the PHPMyAdmin):

Google and Apple are hosting an app dedicated to TheDonald and other far-right forums that were banned from Reddit

Google and Apple’s app stores have been hosting an app for Scored, a message board site dedicated to hosting far-right forum TheDonald — which was previously banned on Reddit and rebranded as “patriots.win” after January 6 — and other far-right forums pushing extremism and conspiracy theories. The site, which researchers have called “an alternative Reddit platform that shelter[s] banned fringe communities,” is supposedly owned by the lead moderator of TheDonald who apparently “made the site” for the forum.

TheDonald originally began on Reddit as “r/The_Donald,” with the subreddit dedicated to supporting Donald Trump during his 2016 presidential campaign and subsequent presidency. It was known for spreading and promoting far-right misinformation,

How to store CSS/JS asset files on a cloud which is not a website hosting per se (Azure Storage in my case)? – Server Config – SitePoint Forums

I have a CSS file of about 1KB which I want to put on a cloud storage and access from a JavaScript file.

cssElement.setAttribute("href", "CLOUD_STORAGE_FILE_URL_COMES_HERE");

I have registered to Microsoft Azure cloud storage services and quickly got lost from the complex plethora of virtualization services which are 100% irrelevant for me because I am not a professional server administrator and all I want to do there is just to store a store a CSS file to access it from this JavaScript file.
