After Josh Duhamel Went Rogue For His Buddy Games Belly Flop, The Host Shared What Viewers Didn’t See From The Mud Pit

Spoilers ahead for the series premiere of Buddy Games on CBS, hosted by Josh Duhamel

Buddy Games debuted in the 2023 TV schedule as CBS’ newest competition series, but the show hosted by Josh Duhamel definitely isn’t a redo of Survivor or Big Brother. This show pits six teams of close friends against each other in challenges that range from physically daunting to downright bonkers in pursuit of the $200,000 prize. Duhamel, who has played “buddy games” with his own friends across decades, spoke with CinemaBlend about trying out the obstacles that the competitors face, including his bold belly flop into a mud pit and the aftermath.

Interim report into cancelled 2026 Commonwealth Games calls for urgent intervention from federal government

The federal government has been called on to urgently intervene to save the canned 2026 Commonwealth Games.

The recommendation forms part of a Senate inquiry into Australia’s preparedness to host the Commonwealth, Olympic and Paralympic Games, which tabled its interim report to federal parliament on Thursday.

“The committee recommends that the Australian Government takes on a facilitation and coordination role in order to salvage the 2026 Commonwealth Games being held in Australia,” the report reads.

The report calls on government to establish an intergovernmental forum by the end of 2023 to bring together representatives from federal, state and local government, business associations and community groups, to examine options to salvage the 2026 Games.

But Premier Daniel Andrews, who refused to front the committee during its hearings over the past few weeks, said he is “not certain” that he’d read the interim report.

“It’s a political stunt,” he said.

“The way in which that’s been conducted, it’s pretty clear what that’s about.

“I’m not taking integrity lectures, probity lectures or behavioural lectures from (committee…

The Commonwealth Games may get pushed back to 2027

The 2026 Commonwealth Games might get pushed back to 2027 as the Australian state of Victoria withdrew as host earlier this year. The event could be hosted in various cities or have a slightly toned-down version, according to the officials.

Speaking at a senate inquiry on Friday, the chief executive of the Commonwealth Games Australia, Craig Phillips, said:

“It may be a scaled-back version of the games, given the time we have, but if you look around the capital cities around Australia, all have the capability of hosting games.

“Even some of the smaller cities around the country have that capability of certainly contributing to a game. We have to look at all possible models – a single-city game, a shared hosting arrangement.”

Speaking on the possibility of a delayed event,…

Commonwealth Games could be delayed a year as officials scramble to find replacement hosts | Commonwealth Games

The 2026 Commonwealth Games could be pushed back a year as officials work to find a new state – or several cities – to host the event, an inquiry has heard.

Craig Phillips, the chief executive of Commonwealth Games Australia, on Friday said the organisation was working on plans for a “scaled-back” event that might be held in 2027.

“It may be a scaled back version of the games, given the time we have, but if you look around the capital cities around Australia … all have the capability of hosting games,” Phillips told a Senate inquiry that’s examining the Victorian government’s decision to withdraw from hosting the event.

“Even some of the smaller cities around the country have that capability of certainly contributing to a game. We have to look at all possible models…
