A Lanarkshire garden centre is hosting a free show and tell gardening workshop.

Dobbies is inviting children aged four to 10 to its Sandyholm store in the Clyde Valley for a free and interactive Little Seedlings workshop on Sunday, August 4, that includes a dedicated gardening show and tell.

Dobbies’ Little Seedlings Club provides a fun and engaging environment for children to learn about plants, wildlife, and the environment.

Sneads Ferry Garden Club hosting military dedication today

SNEADS FERRY, N.C. (WITN) – A ceremony dedicated to honoring the service of military members in our state is taking place today.

The Sneads Ferry Garden Club will be dedicating blue and gold star memorial markers on the Sneads Ferry Library’s property.

Blue star markers honor all those who have served our country, and a gold star markers honor military members who’ve made the ultimate sacrifice of giving their lives while serving.

Several featured speakers, including Major General Matthew Trollinger, Commanding General of the Marine Forces Special Operations Command will attend the dedication.

The event is slated to start at the Snead’s Ferry Library at 10:30 a.m.

Holden Arboretum, Cleveland Botanical Garden hosting food/music events – News-Herald

Food and music combine during the final week in July at both the Holden Arboretum and the Cleveland Botanical Garden.

Blues musician Sam Hooper plays from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on July 26 in the gardens of the arboretum, 9550 Sperry Road in Kirtland, where food trucks and a drinks kiosk open at 5:30 p.m. Hooper takes his inspiration from Otis Redding, Jimi Hendrix and Carlos Santana.

Those who attend bring chairs and blankets for seating and picnics are welcomed. The concert is free with admission which is at no cost for members.

Tulip Garden closed for visitors after having been visited by record-breaking number of tourists this year during the one-month show.While speaking to ANI on April 21, Director of Floriculture Kashmir, Farooq Ahmad Rather said, “Last year around 3.62 lakh tourists came here. This time it was opened on March 19 and around 3.75 lakh tourists came here. Out of 3.75 lakhs, more than 3 lakh tourists came from outside J&K.” Three lakhs eighty thousand visitors visited the world-famous and Asia’s largest Tulip garden, indicating a good tourist season for Kashmir this year.
