An eastern suburbs shopping centre is just days away from bursting into colour as it gets ready to host a fashion show dedicated to spotlighting First Nations designers.

Midland Gate Shopping Centre will celebrate First Nations culture, fashion and art as part of the NAIDC Fashion Showcase this Saturday.

The event — which will be held outside ALDI — will include a runway featuring 23 young models showcasing Indigenous-inspired designs from local fashion designers.

The showcase will also feature live performances, interactive cultural displays and storytelling to educate educate visitors about Australia’s history.
