Samantha Ruth Prabhu ends hiatus, says she will be hosting a health podcast

New Delhi: Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu is returning to work after a seven-month hiatus and this time with a health podcast. After completing the shooting of the Indian chapter of Prime Video series ‘Citadel‘ last July, the actor had announced a break from work to focus on her health.

In 2022, she had revealed her diagnosis of myositis, an autoimmune condition, ahead of the release of her film ‘Yashoda‘.

On Saturday, the 36-year-old actor shared a video on her Instagram Story announcing her comeback.

“I am going back to work, finally. But apart from that, in the meantime, I was completely jobless. But, I am doing something fun with a friend. It’s a health podcast.

Scammers are buying up cheap domain names to host sites that sell dodgy health products

Security experts have warned that web domains are being bought up by scammers to host fake articles and other spurious content. 

A blog post from Netcraft, a UK company specializing in tackling cybercrime, has flagged how it has seen a surge in “health product campaigns that exploit cheap top-level domains (TLDs), reaching up to 60% of a TLD’s daily domain registrations.”

Kindersley hosting mental health camp for kids in February – WestCentralOnline

Thanks to the locally based mental health group Life is Worth Living, a set of special “Mental Health Kids Camps” are coming in the new year.

“Registration is now open for our Mental Health Kids Camps in Kindersley during the February break. The camp will run from February 20 – 22 with the mornings dedicated to ages 4-8 and the afternoons dedicated to ages 9-13.”

That was the message shared by the Life is Worth Living Facebook page back on December 21. Limited spots are available for both courses, the age 9+ youth presentation titled ‘Unpacking Brianne’s Backpack’, the other one for kids ages 4-8 titled ‘A Butterfly’s Transformation‘.

Liverpool personal trainer to host women’s wellness event dedicated to female health through the decades

A day dedicated to empowering women to take control of their bodies at every stage of life, from 20s through to post-menopause, is coming to Liverpool.

The Women’s Wellness Day has been created by Liverpool personal trainer Harriet McGuffie to help women gain a better understanding of the physical changes they’re likely to encounter as they get older.

The event, at Hope Street Hotel on Sunday November 12, will feature a wide range of experts covering every aspect of wellness from gynaecological and sexual health to skin and hair care.

The government does not pay private health companies twice as much as GPs

Calculations posted on social media have led to claims that the government is spending twice as much on private healthcare as on GP services. But this depends on exactly how you count the spending, and in some cases the claims aren’t quite right.

Dr Steve Taylor posted on X (formerly Twitter) and Facebook that NHS spending on GP services per patient was approximately £160, making the spend per patient per day 45p. He also wrote that NHS spending on “private healthcare providing NHS care” was about £320 per person and so 90p per person per day.

These figures were shared and reported by a number of others.
