Pakistan to host global health security summit

Pakistan will be the first country in the world to host the Global Health Security Summit later this year. This was shared by Federal Secretary Health IftikharShallwani while chairing a meeting to launch the preparations for the global moot on Friday. The meeting was attended by senior health officials, leading public health experts and representatives of partner agencies. The Prime Minister has accorded approval to holding the summit later this year which will bring together 500 participants including around 70 country delegates. NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: ‘Today’ host Jill Martin recently opened up about her inspiring breast cancer journey as she shared what she’s been up to.

In an Instagram story, Martin shared a photo showing her efforts to become her old self again as she recovers from the deadly disease.

Clare TD addresses local health services issues with HSE CEO

CLARE health facilities are to expand their services, as one local Independant TD meets with head of HSE to push for more access to healthcare.

Independent TD and Kilrush native Violet-Anne Wynne recently met with HSE CEO, Bernard Gloster, to discuss a number of issues surrounding access to healthcare in the Mid-West.

One issue she raised with Mr Gloster was the provision of accommodation for Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services in Clare. 

“This is an issue that I have always championed in the Dáil and one that we have seen come dangerously close to boiling over in recent weeks,” TD Wynne said.
