Fat Joe To Host BET Hip-Hop Awards For Second Year In A Row

Fat Joe is returning to his hosting duties for this year’s BET Hip-Hop Awards.

The “Lean Back” MC will come for his second year in a row as host of the star-studded night. Joe led last year’s ceremony and performed alongside Wu-Tang Clan, Remy Ma, and several others. His amazing skills obviously impressed BET enough to welcome the podcast host back. 

“We are thrilled to welcome back a true hip-hop legend in Fat Joe as this year’s host! Hiero Day Showcases Lasting Love for Hip-Hop in Bay Area

Beats and rhymes brought thousands of Bay Area residents and visitors to Oakland’s Frank Ogawa Plaza on Labor Day to enjoy the 11th version of Hiero Day, a music block party thrown by the Hieroglyphics Crew.

But a love of community and valuing of its keepers were what kept crowds happily greeting one another, complimenting outfits, sampling snacks from food trucks, dancing to familiar fast favorites or swaying and snapping selfies before slower classics.

Dedicated to serving Boise with great hip-hop for nearly 20 years – The Arbiter

Hip-hop, lo-fi, video games and friendship. These are the four tenets of this local trio’s music currently spreading throughout the Treasure Valley. 

This is Dedicated Servers, consisting of the rappers David “Dave the Fave” Boutdy, Matt “MCMD” Dixon and their DJ producer, Xander “Spin Master Mugen” Rodriguez.

Formed in 2004, Boutdy and Dixon could not have imagined that their small hobby making diss tracks would have spiraled into a nearly 20-year endeavor.

“There’s no way we ever thought we would be doing it this long – we were just laughing, telling jokes, being like ‘Let’s do another one!’ It’s cool that we’re still able to keep it going,” Dixon said.
