Posts being shared on social media misinterpret comments made by London Mayor Sadiq Khan to falsely claim he pledged to build 46,000 houses “just for Muslims”.

A video of Mr Khan speaking has been shared with the caption: “Sadiq Khan says he will build 46,000 new homes in London just for Muslims who want to live closer to a mosque.”

While this is a genuine interview with Mr Khan, he did not make the comments attributed to him in the posts. 

The video shows Mr Khan during an interview shared by the Islam Channel before May’s mayoral elections in which he won 43.8% of the vote and was reelected for his third consecutive term. Coalition hosting webinar to share tiny homes vision

Guest speakers include those involved in established projects in other communities

Can a tiny home community work to support the unhoused in Guelph?

Guelph Tiny Homes Coalition will host a  webinar through Zoom this Tuesday night at 7 p.m. to discuss the topic.

Among the speakers is Jeff Wilmer, who co-founded A Better Tent City in Kitchener, as well as Debbie Carriere, the executive director with the Elizabeth Fry Society of Peterborough, on the Peterborough’s Modular Bridge Housing Community.

There will also be an update on the proposed pilot project in Guelph, which would be 25-50 tiny homes with a shared kitchen, washroom and laundry area.

The goal is to confirm a location and deliver the project by the winter.

3rd Rock Grid residents find new homes on ZetaWorlds – Hypergrid Business

Today was the last day of 3rd Rock Grid, one of the oldest grids in OpenSim.

The grid announced that it was closing back in March, and, since then, many of the former residents have found their way to other grids, with ZetaWorlds being a popular destination.

Start at Sirocco, which is slated to by the administrative hub of the new 3rd Rock Grid expat community once its done. There is already land available for rent, starting at $2.50 a month for a 10,000-prim Second Life-sized region.
