Longtime “American Idol” host Ryan Seacrest is set to take over “Wheel of Fortune” once Pat Sajak retires.

Sajak, the face and host of the syndicated game show since 1981, announced via Twitter on June 12 that its upcoming 41st season would be his last.

“Well, the time has come,” Sajak wrote. “I’ve decided that our 41st season, which begins in September, will be my last. It’s been a wonderful ride, and I’ll have more to say in the coming months. Many thanks to you all. (If nothing else, it’ll keep the clickbait sites busy!).”

India to host virtual SCO summit with Putin and Lukashenko in attendance

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko will be attending the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit that India will be hosting virtually next week. ‘Wheel of Fortune’ taps Ryan Seacrest as its new host: A look at the TV personality’s career highlights

Ryan Seacrest has been named the new host of “Wheel of Fortune,” adding another major gig to his lengthy resume. 

The 48-year-old media personality was confirmed as the replacement for the game show’s longtime host Pat Sajak in a post shared to “Wheel of Fortune’s” Twitter page on Tuesday. 

“It’s official! Starting in 2024 @RyanSeacrest will take the stage as the new host of Wheel of Fortune. We’re so excited – Welcome Ryan!,” the tweet read.

Earlier this month, Sajak, 76, announced his plans to retire from “Wheel of Fortune” after hosting the television series for 41 seasons. Sajak’s co-host and letter-turner Vanna White will remain with the show.

Looks like Ryan Seacrest will take a spin on “Wheel of Fortune” as its new host.

Weeks after longtime host Pat Sajak announced his retirement, Seacrest said Tuesday that he would take over hosting duties. The mega-producer and TV personality shared the news in a statement posted on Instagram.

“I’m truly humbled to be stepping into the footsteps of the legendary Pat Sajak,” he wrote. “I can say, along with the rest of America, that it’s been a privilege and pure joy to watch Pat and Vanna [White] on our television screens for an unprecedented 40 years.”
