Last night was a star-studded one as many Bollywood A-listers came together for the 68th Hyundai Filmfare Awards 2023, which took place in Mumbai. Salman Khan, who was the co-host for the evening, shared his look via social media. Dressed in a formal shirt and pants, Salman wrote, “Right before hosting #FilmfareAwards.” Videos of Salman Khan’s red carpet appearance have also been shared on his fan pages.

Salman hosted the show alongside Ayushmann Khurrana and Maniesh Paul. He also delivered some electrifying performances at the awards night.

‘Jerry Springer Show’ Clips Flood Social Media After Talk Show Host’s Death

Jerry Springer died peacefully at his home in suburban Chicago aged 79 on Thursday, a representative for Springer at WME agency told Newsweek.

After news of the talk show host’s death surfaced, clips from Jerry Springer flooded social media with people recalling fond memories of Springer’s show and paying tribute to its well-known host.

Springer hosted the eponymous show for 28 seasons from September 1991 to July 2018. The show was often ripe with family drama, confrontation, controversial topics, screaming matches, and physical altercations between guests while on set. Springer dabbled in politics before hosting the show—serving on Cincinnati’s city council and then becoming the city’s mayor in 1977.

Viewers of the show recalled its hilarity in their tributes to Springer on Twitter.

Two-thirds of EU Hosts welcome new STR rules

A new survey1 by Airbnb revealed that more than two-thirds (67.4%) of EU Hosts back the EU’s proposal to tackle fragmented short-term rental rules with a more clear, simple and harmonized bloc-wide approach. Only around one in ten (11.7%) are against the proposal.

The Council of the EU reached a common position on STR rules earlier this month, giving hope to many everyday Europeans who are excluded from the benefits of hosting due to fragmented and disproportionate local rules, which were often designed with large scale tourism operators in mind.

The EU is home to over 1 million Hosts on Airbnb – more than any other region in the world – and nearly three-quarters of them share just one home. The typical Host earned just over €3,0002 in 2021 – equivalent to two months…
