If there’s one thing the Christmas period should be full off – aside from presents – it’s plenty of food and drink. However, what do you do if your extended family kindly offers to host meals over the festive season yet you’re always left with a rumbling stomach at the end of it?
A woman named Janet shared her thoughts over the weekend on her in-law’s modest efforts in the food department each Christmas. In a short rant on the DC Urban Moms and Dads online forum, she posted: “They insist on hosting holiday meals even when others have offered, then they usually propose a “brunch” and serve bagels, a few types of cream cheese and a fruit bowl.
