If I had to choose between Apple Music and Spotify, I’m certainly on the side of Apple Music.

Not knocking Spotify, but I prefer Apple Music for several reasons: I like how Apple Music looks and feels — it fits neatly in with the rest of my Apple devices — and its high-res streaming is solid.

Still, there’s one big thing I wanted that Spotify has had forever and Apple Music has always lacked: collaborative playlists. 

My Apple Music library is filled with playlists that I share with my friends and family, but unlike with Spotify, there’s never been a way for me to collaborate on those same playlists.

Spotify has a new shared listening option for Premium users: Jam, which lets people contribute to a shared queue.

By selecting “Start a Jam” on your favorite playlist or song, other Spotify users within your household on the same Wi-Fi network can join your Jam. Guests can join by tapping phones together, scanning a QR code from your device, or—for those listening from afar—clicking a share link you generate. Spotify says those with a free Spotify account can also listen in, presumably with the same limitations they’d encounter on other playlists.

In an interview with People he shared that he identifies himself as pansexual. He was quoted as saying, “I couldn’t say if I was bisexual, because I had to really see what that was, especially because I really have not gotten a chance to act on anything. So, I came to pansexual.” He also shared what ‘pan’ means to him. Wayne, 51, announced his big news in an interview on Monday with People.
