‘Power Book II: Ghost’ Actors Discuss Diana and Dru Running for Their Lives

Spoiler Warning: This article contains spoilers for episode 4 of Power Book II: Ghost, season 4.

As we approach the mid-season finale of Power Book II: Ghost, anyone can — and will — get dropped at any time. In the last episode, the Tejada family dinner turned into a brawl, leaving Diana and Dru to flee without a to-go plate. On the run, being tailed by their brother Cane looking to shoot them dead, the pair also have to worry about Tariq coming for them. All the plotting the siblings did in season 3 finally came back to bite them, and it played out in this week’s episode, The Reckoning.

Stars LaToya Tonodeo and Lovell Adams-Gray chatted with CNET about their roles as Diana and Dru, this episode’s big moments and how they really feel about Mary J. Blige’s Monet Tejada.

Switch emulator Suyu hit by GitLab DMCA, project lives on through self-hosting

Is a name like
Enlarge / Is a name like “Suyu” ironic enough to avoid facing a lawsuit?

Suyu

Switch emulator Suyu—a fork of the Nintendo-targeted and now-defunct emulation project Yuzu—has been taken down from GitLab following a DMCA request Thursday. But the emulation project’s open source files remain available on a self-hosted git repo on the Suyu website, and recent compiled binaries remain available on an extant GitLab repo.

While the DMCA takedown request has not yet appeared on GitLab’s public repository of such requests, a GitLab spokesperson confirmed to The Verge that the project was taken down after the site received notice “from a representative of the rightsholder.” GitLab has not specified who made the…

Video of vehicle driving ‘through crowd of Palestine protesters’ actually from 2020 Black Lives Matter march

Warning: links in this article contain potentially upsetting footage.

A video falsely purporting to show a large car driving at pro-Palestinian protesters in California has been circulating on social media.

Posts on Facebook and what is now X (formerly Twitter) share a clip of a red vehicle towing a large trailer driving through a crowd of protestors.

One caption with the video shared on Facebook on 14 December states: “A truck cuts through a crowd of Palestinian protesters blocking a freeway in Los Angeles.”

A protest did take place in Los Angeles, California on 13 December, where people blocked a freeway and called for a ceasefire in Gaza. But the video being shared is unrelated to that event or the current Israel-Gaza conflict.

It was filmed in May 2020 during…

The 3 Rules Martha Stewart Lives By For Hosting Successful Parties

Stewart’s second rule of interacting with guests seems like a no-brainer but, let’s face it, hosting comes with a lot of responsibilities, especially if you are cooking and that can make it difficult to talk to everyone. The cookbook author explained in an NPR interview that she loves to talk to her guests and have them lend a hand in preparing. “I think if you have people involved — let them help you in the kitchen,” she said.

Stewart is also a fan of playing games, especially if kids are at the festivities. Whether it’s puzzles or a ping pong tournament, the domestic icon creates an atmosphere where everyone feels included and there are plenty of opportunities for fun interactions.

Her third rule is not to leave anyone hungry or thirsty, which means you should…

Tractor course to help save lives at Limerick mart

THE ORGANISERS of an advanced course for young tractor drivers in Limerick are encouraging parents to sign up their sons and daughters for the pilot initiative.

“It could be the best three hours they ever spend,” said John Macnamara, a dairy farmer from Knockainey and one of the organisers.

The course, which takes place at Kilmallock Mart on Thursday, August 17, has been organised following a number of tragedies involving young people driving farm machinery.

Mr Macnamara said farmers’ sons and daughters are well able to do general farm work but they have very little experience of driving on the roads, or the weight of a slurry tank or trailer full of silage. Plus, the speed tractors are able to travel nowadays has vastly increased compared to a…
