The Masked Singer UK is set to see some changes for its upcoming sixth season. Rita Ora, who has been one of the panelists since Season 1 of the British iteration of the reality show, will be replaced by none other than Maya Jama. Per ITV’s announcement, the Love Island host will be exploring different realms beyond the islands as the replacement of Ora in the judging panel on the reality competition series.

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A Wilmington vocal group is hosting two free concerts at the end of September to share peace and love during a divisive time ahead of the presidential election.

The Wilmington Voices was New Hanover County’s first premiere, professional vocal ensemble.

This concert series called “Music for a Scared Space” is happening on Sept 21, 7:30pm at St. Andrews-Covenant Presbyterian Church
1416 Market Street. The second concert will be on Sept 22, 4pm at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 16 North 16th Street.

Angela Burns is the founder and artistic director of Wilmington Voices. She said you will hear a range of songs and genres at the free concerts.

Former Athenaeum librarian Christine Powley retired in April, drawing to a close the Wireless Books co-hosting role she shared with Beth Sizemore.

New librarian Holly Fletcher picked up the opportunity to promote the library’s collection, calling upon friend and Port Chalmers librarian Bella King to join her on new show Books Uncovered.

Ms Fletcher said each episode would explore a different theme or genre, with the presenters debating perspectives on a range of books.

Local literary events would also be promoted.

“I would also like to talk more about poetry, because I’m a poet myself. And because I spent a long time out of New Zealand, I’m enjoying catching up on a range of New Zealand works.”
