Maple Ridge brewery hosting end-of-summer car show

Show and Shine takes over Ridge Brewing Company on Sept. 7

Before the warm and sunny days give way to the cool fall weather, the Ridge Brewing Company wants to bring people together for one last show and shine event of the year.

This is a first for the Maple Ridge brewery, which hopes to draw in plenty of people this weekend for the free car show.

The event will include a large collection of various classic cars, hot rods, and motorcycles, with a theme of ‘timeless beauty’. There will also be a food truck and plenty to drink for those who stop by.

The show and shine begins at 2 p.m., with live music by Upon the Pike starting at 8 p.m.

Attending the event is free, with the car show taking place at Ridge Brewing Company (22826 Dewdney Trunk Rd.) on Saturday, Sept. 7.

Maple syrup pros – Examiner Online

Benjamin Logan Environmental Science enthusiasts visited the Kavanagh Farm, home of Bruce and Jodie Kavanagh, located along U.S. Route 68 Wednesday afternoon, Feb. 21, where they gained insights into the art of harvesting sap and the syrup-making process. Engaging in hands-on activities, they actively participated in collecting 40 gallons of sap, navigating through the muddy terrain. Then they went to the sugar shack to see the evaporator boiling. To conclude their day, they savored homemade topped pancakes with the syrup produced on the farm. “It was fun for all,” Jodie shared of hosting the club members. (Benjamin Logan PHOTO)
