Bahamas to Host 2024 Afreximbank Annual Meetings, AfriCaribbean Trade Forum 

The Government of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas and African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) yesterday, signed the Agreement for The Bahamas to host the 31st Afreximbank Annual Meetings (AAM) and the third edition of the AfriCaribbean Trade and Investment Forum (ACTIF).

The AAM would be held in Nassau, The Bahamas, from 12th to 14th of June 2024.

A statement quoted President and Chairman of the Board of Directors, Afreximbank, Prof. Benedict Oramah, to have said: “Afreximbank’s historic decision to hold the 31st Afreximbank Annual Meetings in The Bahamas will be the first time it has been held in the Caribbean. Spoofed Zoom, Google & Skype Meetings Spread Corporate RATs

A threat actor is creating fake Skype, Google Meet, and Zoom meetings, mimicking these popular collaboration applications to spread various commodity malware that can steal sensitive data from both Android and Windows users.

The campaign, which began in December, demonstrates an emerging cybersecurity threat for corporate users, researchers from Zcaler’s ThreatLabz revealed in a blog post on March 6. The attackers are using shared Web hosting to host fake online meeting sites on a single IP address, leveraging various URLs that are convincingly similar enough to the actual websites of the services being impersonated. The Skype campaign, for instance, used “join-skype[.]info,” while Google Meet users were enticed to join meetings via “online-cloudmeeting[.]pro.” The Zoom campaign uses…

Seattle Public Schools To Host Community Meetings

Over the next few weeks, Seattle Public Schools will be hosting a series of community meetings to develop a shared understanding of what programs, services resources, and learning experiences make up well-resourced schools.

Students, families, staff, and community partners are more than welcome to come join and participate in the discussions.

KDOT hosting meetings to discuss 69 Highway noise walls

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — People living along U.S. 69 in Overland Park, Kansas, can participate in a series of virtual meetings this week with the Kansas Department of Transportation to learn more about the agency’s proposal to build 14 noise walls along a roughly 10-mile stretch of the highway where KDOT will add express toll lanes.

Meetings Monday addressed walls north of 135th Street. Tuesday’s meeting at 4:30 p.m. will address walls on the east side of the highway, south of 135th Street. Wednesday at 5 p.m., KDOT will discuss walls on the west side of the highway, south of 135th Street. Meetings at 5 p.m. Thursday and 11:30 a.m. Friday are all-inclusive.
