I do not recommend disabling it completely but he can ask the host to disable it per rule ID.

Depending on the kind of rules the provider has, ModSecurity can help block spam, hack attempt, brute force, injection, etc… it can also help with your bandwidth and lessen the web server load for useless traffic.

Activision has cracked down on PC fan project X Labs, a popular Call of Duty modding client that’s been around for years.

X Labs announced that it had received a cease and desist from Activision on Twitter, informing its fans that it would comply with the order. X Labs runs dedicated servers for modified versions of older famous Call of Duty games like Modern Warfare 2, Black Ops 3, and Advanced Warfare.

‘Titanfall 2’ Northstar mod appears to solve game’s server problems

For some reason, Respawn Entertainment has become a bit infamous among gamers for rampant server issues across all its titles. DDoS attacks and hackers have plagued Titanfall 1 and Titanfall 2. And Respawn’s battle royale shooter Apex Legends is no stranger to crashing servers, either.
