Dermot O’Leary and Alison Hammond are officially the new Friday hosts on This Morning

Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary have been announced as regular hosts on This Morning. The pair are set to share hosting duties with Phillip Schofield, Holly Willoughby, Eamonn Holmes OBE and Ruth Langsford from January 2021.

Rumours were circling but it’s now been confirmed by ITV; from 8 January Alison and Dermot will host This Morning shows on Fridays, which are currently hosted by Eamonn and Ruth. Holly and Phillip will stay in their current slots, and Eamonn and Ruth will continue to host the show during key holidays.

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Recently, ‘Good Morning America‘ weekend host Gio Benitez recently announced the departure of showrunner and colleague Shaun Francis from the morning show.

Ben Shephard thanks fans for ‘lovely messages’ after first week on This Morning

Ben Shephard has thanked well-wishers for sending him “lovely messages” during his first week of hosting This Morning alongside Cat Deeley.

The duo helmed their first show together on Monday as they officially took over the reins from Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, who both left the ITV morning programme last year.

To mark the new chapter, Shephard shared a selection of photos to social media of him chatting and laughing with Deeley while presenting the show.

Sir Rod Stewart and Jools Holland featured in one of the pictures as the veteran musicians were among the first celebrity guests to join them on the sofa.

Sian Welby brands her This Morning hosting debut ‘the best week of my life’ but jokes there was ‘no chance to wee’ – as show bosses brand her ‘the next Holly Willoughby’

Sian Welby has shared an insight into her recent This Morning debut, branding it the ‘best week of her life’.

The Capital Breakfast presenter, 37, joined Dermot O’Leary to co-host the ITV show amid claims smitten bosses had declared her the ‘next Holly Willoughby’.

Sian was quizzed about the four-day stint by colleague Roman Kemp, 31, on Wednesday as she returned to her regular job on the radio.  

Telling listeners: ‘Honestly, probably the best week of my life! I was on This Morning, I can’t believe they sort of gave me the reins to co-host with Dermot O’Leary who I’ve been watching for most of my life, X Factor, Big Brother, he’s a legend,’

Longtime “CBS Sunday Morning” host Charles Osgood dies at age 91

CBS News journalist Charles Osgood, the host of “CBS Sunday Morning” for more than two decades, died Tuesday at 91 years old. According to CBS News, Osgood was living with dementia for a period of time before his death.

Osgood spent 45 years at CBS News before retiring in 2016. During his tenure at “Sunday Morning”, the show reached some of its highest ratings levels in three decades, and earned the Daytime Emmy as Outstanding Morning Program on three different occasions. His tenure on “Sunday Morning” was in fact longer than the show’s original host, Charles Kuralt.
