Frank Fritz, 'American Pickers' Co-Host, Dies at 60 – MSN

Frank Fritz, the longtime “American Pickers” host, has died at 60 years old. The news was announced on social media by his friend and co-host Mike Wolfe. The duo appeared together on the History Channel staple for 10 years and hundreds of episodes. The series followed Fritz and Wolfe as they toured the country in search of antiques and artifacts they can sell in their shop or buy to add to their personal collections. Fritz died on Sept. 30, 2024.

Moline hosting new park dedication – MSN

Moline is hosting a ribbon cutting for its newest park this afternoon.

O’Brien Park, 46th-48th Streets and Fourth Avenue in Moline, will be dedicated on Friday, September 27th. Guests can enjoy barbecue starting at 12:30 p.m. before the dedication ceremony at 1:30 p.m. Moline Mayor Sangeetha Rayapati, Director of Parks & Recreation Eric Griffith, Park Board President Bill Abel and local politicians will be on hand for the ribbon cutting.

Jimmy Kimmel Returning for 4th Stint as Oscars Host – MSN

Jimmy Kimmel will return to host the 96th Academy Awards, marking his fourth turn leading the ceremony, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced Wednesday.

Kimmel also hosted the ceremony earlier this year, and he hosted in 2017 and 2018.

He will join Whoopi Goldberg and Jack Lemmon as four-time Oscar hosts, and he’ll be one behind Johnny Carson, who hosted five of the events.

Billy Crystal hosted the ceremony nine times, but Bob Hope is the all-time leader with 19 shows as host, although the shared hosting duties in five of those outings.

Academy CEO Bill Kramer and Academy President Janet Yang said in a joint statement they are “thrilled” to have Kimmel returning as host and Molly McNearney returning to serve as an executive producer for the show.

Julie Chen took to social media on Thursday to announce that an A-list celebrity will be filling in for her on the latest episode of Big Brother.

The 54-year-old media personality — who released a memoir last year — shared the news via Instagram, writing a detailed message to her 497,000 followers. 

In white font against a black backdrop, she wrote, ‘Friday morning I woke up with a sore throat and went to see my good friend who is an ENT.’

Revealing who she tapped for the job, she continued, ‘Thank you Jerry O’Connell for filling in for me.’ 

The longtime television correspondent wrote, ‘Unfortunately I am still testing positive as of this morning.’

She said that ‘despite feeling good, strong, and my cough being gone, I must sit tonight’s Big Brother live eviction show out.’

Wheel of Fortune's Pat Sajak shares final 'goodbye' without naming Ryan Seacrest – MSN

Ahead of Wheel of Fortune‘s new season, Pat Sajak has officially signed off.

The hit game show’s longtime host shared one last goodbye to fans as he prepares to officially pass hosting duties to Ryan Seacrest, but he didn’t mention the American Idol host in his statement.

Seacrest will officially join Vanna White as co-host when the latest season premieres on September 9, but he has to hit the ground running to keep fans interested.

The statement read: “This is the last night of summer reruns, although having cable and streaming services means never having to say goodbye. Looking forward to Season 5 of @celebritywof on @ABCNetwork this fall, as well as what’s coming next.”
