There is a growing chasm between the allies of former President Donald Trump and House Speaker Mike Johnson over the release of additional footage from the U.S. Capitol riot on January 6, 2021.

Johnson, a Louisiana Republican, announced in November that he would release all Capitol Hill security footage from that day that does not contain sensitive information or information that would lead to retaliation of private citizens.

“When I ran for Speaker, I promised to make accessible to the American people the 44,000 hours of video from Capitol Hill security taken on January 6, 2021,” Johnson said in a statement on November 17. “Truth and transparency are critical. We will begin immediately posting video on a public website and move as quickly as possible to add to the website nearly all of…

By Trevor Hunnicutt

WASHINGTON (Reuters) -The United States has made its concerns known to the Cuban government about Cuba hosting Chinese spy operations on its territory, White House spokesperson John Kirby said on Monday.

“We understand the bilateral relationship with China is tense right now, and nothing’s changed about the fact that the president wants to keep the lines of communication open with the PRC,” Kirby told reporters, using the…
