How to get Palworld multiplayer to work rather than fail

It’s frustrating, right? You want to play the biggest PC and Xbox game of the year (so far) with your buddies but Palworld multiplayer won’t work. There are a few reasons why this might be happening. I’ll take you through some things you should try to get through to a co-op game session.

I good chunk of Palworld multiplayer failure issues revolve around the fact that the Palworld servers are far busier than expected. On Steam alone, the game has already reached a peak of over 855,700 concurrent players and Palworld has already hit over two million copies sold in the first 48 hours of the game’s release.

Palworld multiplayer: How to set up or join a dedicated server to play with friends

Palworld’s co-op multiplayer mode only allows you to team up with three other players in a world, but that number jumps up to 31 when you opt for a dedicated server instead. That experience is about as chaotic as you’d expect (and it’ll get even crazier once PvP gets added), but if that sounds enjoyable to you, you’ll probably have a blast.

Developer Pocketpair maintains a number of its own dedicated servers, but you have the option of hosting your own, too — a feature that’s useful if you want to play with more than three of your friends privately. Here’s everything you need to know about how to set up a dedicated server in Palworld, including a full overview of the process and information about which versions of the game support using one.

How to fix Palworld failed to host multiplayer session error

The biggest appeal to Palworld for me is the multiplayer features and playing with my friends. However, I’ve run into issues, so let’s dive into how to fix the Palworld failed to host multiplayer session error.

How to fix failed to host multiplayer session Palworld error

Unfortunately, there isn’t much you can do to solve the failed to host multiplayer session error in Palworld. The error sometimes shows up as OnCreateSessionCompleteDelegate bWasSuccessful == false, but the outcome is the same, preventing you from hosting multiplayer. The issue is likely due to server strain from too many players logging into Palworld, but an update may also be responsible for takign the servers down.
