Bishkek to host musical and poetic event dedicated to 75th anniversary of poet Asan Zhakshylykov

AKIPRESS.COM – On June 13, The National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater named after A. Maldybaev will host a musical and poetic event dedicated to the 75th anniversary of poet Asan Zhakshylykov.

The poet and playwright began collaborating with the theater in 2006, when he created a cycle of romances to the music of composer Satylgan Osmonov for Kyrgyz tenor Stalbek Almasbekov, theater representative Elena Myagkova noted.

Zhakshylykov wrote many romances to the music of Kaly Moldobasanov, Mukash Abdraev, Turgunbai Moldogaziev, Turdubek Chokiev, Timur Salamatov, Zhumakadyr Kanimetov, Bulat Maldybaev and others.

Baku hosts musical evening dedicated to Ismail Hajibayov [PHOTOS]

Baku Contemporary Music Society and the Baku Museum Center have
hosted another concert as part of the project “Musical Evenings at
the Museum”.

The concert was dedicated to the work of composer Ismail
Hajibayov (1949-2006), Azernews reports.

The moderator, musicologist Shafagat Mammadova spoke about the
life and work of Ismail Hajibayov, and the guests were presented
with chamber works by the composer.

Cadenza Contemporary Orchestra delighted the audience with their
performances. The orchestra was conducted by Honored Artist Ayyub
Guliyev.
