No, London Mayor Sadiq Khan has not pledged to build 46,000 new homes ‘just for Muslims’ – Full Fact

Posts being shared on social media misinterpret comments made by London Mayor Sadiq Khan to falsely claim he pledged to build 46,000 houses “just for Muslims”.

A video of Mr Khan speaking has been shared with the caption: “Sadiq Khan says he will build 46,000 new homes in London just for Muslims who want to live closer to a mosque.”

Claim two protesters were ‘stabbed by Muslims in Stoke’ is false – Full Fact

Claims that two protesters were “stabbed by Muslims in Stoke” over the weekend have been widely circulating on social media. But Staffordshire Police has confirmed “this information is false and no stabbings have been reported to police, despite videos fuelling speculation on social media”.

The image supposedly shows rows of people on prayer mats outside Number 10 Downing Street with the suggestion this is related to Sir Keir Starmer being elected as the UK Prime Minister following the election on 4 July.

The image was shared both before and after the general election took place.

However, there are multiple visual clues that suggest the image is inauthentic, and most likely created using artificial intelligence (AI).

To start, two figures in the front row are warped so that feet appear instead of heads, while the hands of other figures—although they’re in the right place—are misshapen and…
