Trump Campaign Slams Claims That Barbershop Owner Was Misled To Host Event

Former President Donald Trump’s campaign team has responded after an Atlanta man claimed he was misled into hosting one of their events at his barbershop.

Barbershop owner Rocky Jones told local outlets that a friend initially approached him about hosting a roundtable for small Black businesses in the area. Jones said he was shocked when he later learned that the roundtable was a pro-Trump event featuring appearances from the former president’s Black allies, Dr. Ben Carson and Rep. Byron Donalds.

“I feel like I have been betrayed,” Jones said.

Wednesday’s (June 26) event, titled “Black American Business Leaders Barbershop Roundtable,” garnered national attention ahead of the first presidential debate of 2024 at CNN Studios in Atlanta.

“I honestly didn’t think about it. It…

House votes to force sale of TikTok by Chinese owner

The House voted overwhelmingly to pass legislation that will force TikTok to separate itself from its parent company in China or be banned in the United States, a major step toward a crackdown motivated by fears that the popular social media company could be used for spying or manipulation by the Chinese Communist Party.

The House voted 352-65 on Wednesday to pass the Protecting Americans from Foreign Adversary Controlled Applications Act. The bill, introduced by Rep. Mike Gallagher (R-WI), would make it unlawful for app stores or web hosting services to provide services to social media applications owned and operated by the Chinese company ByteDance. This includes TikTok, which is one of the larger social media platforms in the U.S. If TikTok wants to continue operating within the…

Search for owner of dog and puppy posts circulating online are a hoax

Multiple posts are being shared in community groups on Facebook claiming to be searching for the owner of a lost dog and its pup. But these posts are not genuine.

One post, which has more than 1,000 shares, appears in a Facebook group for selling cars and motorbikes in Belfast. It says: “l found this sweet girl with her pup by our gate in Belfast. I got her checked at a vet she’s not microchipped and is now sleeping. She definitely misses her family. I fed her and I will continue feeding her until I find the owner. Please bump this post to help me find the owner, or someone who can take her in”.

Almost identical posts appear in community groups across the UK, including Solihull in Birmingham, Barnsley in South Yorkshire, Didcot in Oxfordshire, as well as in…

Social media appeals to reunite owner with injured dog are likely hoaxes

Social media posts appealing to find the owner of a dog allegedly struck by a car have been shared widely across Facebook. But this does not appear to be genuine, as locations for the same “hit-and-run” incident claimed to have injured the same dog have been repeated across local groups ranging from the UK to America.

Multiple Facebook posts circulating since 28 November use the same image of a dog with cream fur being held wrapped in a blanket with blood on its muzzle, inside what appears to be a veterinary surgery.

The posts, some of which have been shared more than a thousand times, all share almost identical captions. They say: “I am urgently looking for this guy’s owner [heartbreak emoji] found him lying on the side road in [location].

“He was hit by a…

Bar Owner Found A Hilarious Loophole To Continue Hosting Live Music Events » TwistedSifter

Source: Reddit/AITA

Rules and regulations regarding live music venues can be pretty strict.

And sometimes the folks who run these places have to get clever to be able to host events and keep the money flowing.

Check out the story below and see how a bar found a loophole to get around noise complaints.

Start now!

“A bar in my town used to host live bands all the time, until one of the neighbors complained about the noise.

It turns out the zoning rules didn’t allow them to have live music and they almost got shut down. The bar owner read over said zoning rules and notices that the wording forbade them to have live music indoors… but they could have it outdoors.

So they moved the stage to the patio section, where it would be even louder for the neighbors, and still be legal.

They still…
