The interview was cited in Apple’s decision to take Parler off its App store and Amazon’s decision to suspend web hosting service for Parler. Google also booted the platform off its Play Store. Court Denies Parler’s Request That AWS Reinstate Web-Hosting Services

On Thursday, Judge Barbara Jacobs Rothstein of the Western District of Washington issued an order denying Parler’s request for Amazon Web Services (AWS) to reinstate its web-hosting services; however, Parler has not received the relief it requested.

Parler sued AWS for suspending its use of Amazon’s cloud hosting services, which it claimed would “kill” its business. Parler alleged violations of the Sherman Act for conspiracy in restraint of trade, breach of contract, and tortious interference with business expectancy. As mentioned, Parler asked for a temporary restraining order (TRO) for the court to order AWS to reinstate its web-hosting services for Parler. Parler’s website suddenly reappeared online Sunday afternoon with a message from its CEO, John Matze: “Hello world, is this thing on?”

The message, dated January 16, implies that the social network popular with members of the far right has found a new online hosting platform, after Parler was booted from Amazon Web Services on January 10 in the wake of the Capitol siege.

Parler’s domain is now registered with Epik, according to a WHOIS search. Epik is a company that sells domain names and is also the domain registrar for Gab, an alternative social network often used by members of the far-right. It remains unclear who is Parler’s web host; Parler didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.

The website for the social media platform Parler reappeared on Sunday after Amazon last week suspended the site from its web hosting service. 

The website shared a new message from Parler CEO John Matze asking “Hello world, is this thing on?” 

“Now seems like the right time to remind you all — both lovers and haters — why we started this platform,” a post on the website below Matze’s statement said. “We believe privacy is paramount and free speech essential, especially on social media. Amazon Pulls Plug On Parler’s Web Hosting Services After Finding Dozens Of Posts That Encourage Violence – CBS Philly

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Users on the social media site Parler are waking up to find the alternative social network is completely offline. Amazon, which controls Parler’s web hosting services, pulled the plug at 3 a.m. after finding dozens of posts on the site that encouraged violence.

Parler advertises itself as a free speech social network and is popular with President Donald Trump’s supporters.

Visitors will now only see error messages.

Apple and Google had already removed the APPs from their platforms.

Parler’s CEO said the company is working to find an alternative host.
