Ryan Seacrest’s ‘Wheel of Fortune’ debut left out Pat Sajak’s name after ex-host spotted with Vanna White

As Ryan Seacrest kicked off his big debut on “Wheel of Fortune,” Monday night, he left out the longtime host, Pat Sajak’s, name in his introduction.

Although Seacrest, 49, recognized he had stepped into a major role, he did not mention Sajak’s name when he opened the show. 

“And now together for the first time, here are the stars of our show, Ryan Seacrest and Vanna White!” announcer Jim Thornton said during the show’s opener.

Wheel of Fortune's Pat Sajak shares final 'goodbye' without naming Ryan Seacrest – MSN

Ahead of Wheel of Fortune‘s new season, Pat Sajak has officially signed off.

The hit game show’s longtime host shared one last goodbye to fans as he prepares to officially pass hosting duties to Ryan Seacrest, but he didn’t mention the American Idol host in his statement.

Seacrest will officially join Vanna White as co-host when the latest season premieres on September 9, but he has to hit the ground running to keep fans interested.

The statement read: “This is the last night of summer reruns, although having cable and streaming services means never having to say goodbye. Looking forward to Season 5 of @celebritywof on @ABCNetwork this fall, as well as what’s coming next.”

Serena Williams joined her sister, Venus, and Quinta Brunson in calling out Pat McAfee for his comments about WNBA star Caitlin Clark earlier this year at the 2024 ESPY Awards. The trio also took shots at Harrison Butker.
