Nev Schulman is recovering from a bicycling accident that left him with a broken neck. The ‘Catfish’ host shared graphic photos of his injury on August 10 via Instagram. In a lengthy caption, he revealed the injury occurred on Monday, August 5, after a “day full of love” with his family on Sunday.
Schulman issued a medical trauma warning in his carousel Instagram post about his severe injury. His caption revealed that a truck struck him while he was riding a bike. He was on his way to pick up his son from school but never made it.

Showing his support for the medical professionals who’ve helped him, Nev wrote, “The incredible knowledge and care from everyone in the medical community has been so remarkable. Starting with the EMS and on to the Southampton Emergency Room and the Stony Brook ICU. It’s hard to feel sorry for myself when I hear from the doctors about how many people with similar injuries will never walk again.”
