6 Million Posts on JetNation.com

We are thrilled to announce an incredible milestone at JetNation.com — our forums have officially surpassed 6 million posts! This just blows my mind; when we started this place on a $20-a-month shared hosting plan, something like this wasn’t even a thought. Thank you to all of the passionate and dedicated New York Jets fans who call this place home.

From the highs of playoff runs to the lows of rebuilding years, our members have been the heartbeat of our site, sharing their thoughts, complaints, and support for the Jets. Believe it or not, there have been some playoff years, but they are few and far between, unfortunately. Hopefully, Aaron Rodgers and this defense can end…

Robert Irwin’s Instagram: the host’s best posts.

Robert Irwin is the man of the moment.

The only son of Steve Irwin has just begun his hosting gig on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here, stepping into the sizeable shoes of Dr Chris Brown, who departed the series last year. And he’s doing a bang-up job so far.

Irwin is joined on the 2024 series by ultimate co-host Julia Morris and a bunch of (particularly rogue) celebs, who include Frankie Muniz, Stephen K Amos and Skye Wheatley.

As a TV host, conservationist and one of the 2023 GQ Men of the Year, the 20-year-old wears many hats (not all of them khaki). And to go with his many gigs, the recently single Australia Zoo co-owner also has one of the most random profiles we’ve ever encountered on Instagram.

Last year, he shared this very important Halloween photoshoot featuring his pug,…

Posts on social media misidentify US troops killed in air strikes

Posts misidentifying three US servicemen who died in a recent attack in Jordan are circulating online.

Three US troops were killed and more than 40 injured in a drone strike on a US military base near the Syrian border in Jordan on 29 January 2024.

Multiple posts on Facebook and X (formerly Twitter) share a collage showing three photos each featuring a man in military uniform. It has been shared widely with the caption: “The picture is of three American who were killed in a drone attack by the resistance on the American base in Syria -Jordan border [sic]”.

However, the collage does not feature the soldiers killed in the January attack. The photos actually show three soldiers who were killed in Jordan in 2016, named Staff Sergeant Matthew C. Lewellen of Kansas,…

Search for owner of dog and puppy posts circulating online are a hoax

Multiple posts are being shared in community groups on Facebook claiming to be searching for the owner of a lost dog and its pup. But these posts are not genuine.

One post, which has more than 1,000 shares, appears in a Facebook group for selling cars and motorbikes in Belfast. It says: “l found this sweet girl with her pup by our gate in Belfast. I got her checked at a vet she’s not microchipped and is now sleeping. She definitely misses her family. I fed her and I will continue feeding her until I find the owner. Please bump this post to help me find the owner, or someone who can take her in”.

Almost identical posts appear in community groups across the UK, including Solihull in Birmingham, Barnsley in South Yorkshire, Didcot in Oxfordshire, as well as in…
