Posts sharing the claim on X (formerly Twitter) and Facebook—sometimes include a link to a page with a full story and other versions have a screenshot including the headline: “It’s Official: Texas Declares Bringing a Pride Flag to the Classroom a Crime.”

Many of the accounts posting or commenting on it on social media appear to believe it is a genuine policy.

The website it originates from tags the article under ‘satire’. It reports that the bill is titled “The Classroom Sanctity Act”. We can find no evidence that a bill of this name or nature has been tabled or approved by…

Collar City Pride hosting Town Hall to discuss local needs – Troy Record

TROY, N.Y. — Collar City Pride will host a Town Hall on Saturday, Sep. 14, at the Troy Public Library, 100 2nd St., Downtown Troy, the organization announced in a press release.

The event will run from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and is open to the public with a virtual participation option.

The Town Hall will provide an opportunity for community members to discuss the needs of queer individuals and trends in substance use, according to the release. The program will include an overview of Collar City Pride’s mission and values and an open forum for feedback on future programming and services.

Masks will be provided and are required for in-person attendees. Snacks and beverages will also be available. Virtual attendance details will be shared upon registration.

The W in Cambridge hosting Pride Paint Night

The event allows the community to form connections and celebrate Pride through art

As Pride month wraps up, YWCA Cambridge is bringing the community together at The W for a celebration.

Artist A. Decker will be at 20 Dickson St. on June 27 from 5:30 p.m. tp 7:30 p.m. for a Pride paint night.

Residents nine and up can express themselves and form deeper connections within the community through the power of art.

The W is the YWCA Cambridge’s dedicated programming space. The location is used to facilitate supportive, inclusive and participant-led programs for women, girls and non-binary youth.

It’s also home to the organization’s pre-employment programs, summer camps and workshops.

Texas Rangers are only MLB team not hosting a Pride Night & employees are speaking out

The Texas Rangers have a full promotional calendar for the rest of the 2023 season. They will host nights dedicated to Shark Week, Choctaw Casinos & Resorts and somebody named “Preston.”

But once again, there won’t be a Pride Night at Globe Life Field in Arlington. The Rangers remain the only MLB team out of 30 without an evening dedicated to celebrating its LGBTQ+ fans, and employees aren’t having it.

The Athletic recently spoke to roughly a dozen current or recent employees of the organization about the Rangers’ decision to abstain from promoting LGBTQ+ Pride. Many of the sources quoted were granted anonymity to protect their professional livelihoods.

They weren’t shy about voicing their displeasure.
