Anyone using hawkhost, SFTP question?

For what it’s worth sFTP is FTP over SSH. FTPS is standard FTP with SSL/TLS.

Both are encrypted / secure.

If you want to create an FTP account for someone else – you would want to tell them to use FTPS which functions over the standard FTP port of 21.

There is a misconception that you have to use sFTP to be secure / to have an encrypted connection and this is not the case. That…
