The Tuscaloosa’s One Place is an organization that focuses on the families in poverty. They hold three task forces that prioritize improving pre-k readiness, child advocacy, and self-sufficiency.

To begin this month, TOP is hosting a mobile food pantry in Downtown Tuscaloosa at 810 27th Avenue starting at 10 a.m. on March 8.

Food will be free and on a first come basis.

Throughout this month as well, TOP is hosting several lunch and learns that allow those to come to understand career assessments, interview skills, job searching and building a strong resume.

When the Central Bank of Nigeria began to ration dollars due to the stringent situation of foreign exchange in the country, most Nigerians who are seeking renewal of VISA and e-commerce businesses did not know they will be caught in the web of the new policy.

The Central Bank of Nigeria began the struggle to fix Nigeria’s forex woes in 2020 when the COVID-19 pandemic impacted on oil prices.

A lot of pressure was exerted on the Nigerian forex earnings from oil which contributes over 90 per cent of forex proceeds.

The bank introduced several policies to contain the impact of the Naira which has lost over 36 per cent of its value from N305 to N416 per dollar.

Nigeria sorts foreign exchange obligations through the official Importer and Exporter Window and the parallel market rates.

The latest figures released by the Nigeria Internet Registration Association (NiRA), the organisation in charge of managing Nigeria’s country code Top Level Domain (ccTLD), which is the .ng domain name for Nigeria, showed an improvement in the registration, renewal and restoration.

The figures, which THISDAY obtained from the official website of NiRA, showed a slight increase in Nigeria’s domain name registration, renewal and restoration from 178,079 in January 2022 to 178,755 in February 2022.

THISDAY had last month, exclusively reported a drop in .ng domain name registration and renewal, which NiRA attributed to the adverse effect of COVID-19 that paralysed businesses 2021.
