Ryan Seacrest made his very last Live with Kelly and Ryan on-air appearance as a co-host on April 14th after six years on the show. The media personality, 48, and Kelly Ripa, 52, both got emotional during the special moment, as the duo said a misty goodbye to the beloved hosting dynamic they shared.

Speaking to a teary-eyed Seacrest, Ripa sweetly said, “I just want to say a few words to you. It’s on behalf of myself and all of us — but mostly me. This has, without question, been the fastest six years of my life.”

She continued, “And although you and I have been friends for decades and decades, I feel like I’ve gained through this process a younger brother/ oldest son.” I am so grateful that our success together on this show has led to us developing an even closer — yet…

Kelly Ripa is reminiscing about an Italian getaway long ago!

The Live with Kelly and Ryan host, 52, shared a sweet throwback photo on Thursday featuring her husband Mark Consuelos and son Michael in Italy. She captioned the Instagram post: “#tbt Italian holiday 🇮🇹 @michael.consuelos atop @instasuelos circa 1998 #daddy“

In the comments section, users couldn’t help but point out the resemblance between Mark, now 51, and his son, now 25, who is also an actor.

“Michael looks so much like his daddy! And I think Joaquin looks like you, Kelly,” one user wrote, referring to the couple’s 20-year-old son. Another added, “Omg. Mark is Michael. Michael is Mark.”

Ripa and Mark also share daughter Lola, 21.

Although Ryan Seacrest announced his leave as co-host on Live, he was undoubtedly loved by the audience. However, no one can be perfect, and there was one time when he made a blunder while hosting. During Ripa’s game show Generation Gap, a mistake from his side led to a 45-minute shutdown. The footage has not been shared anywhere, however, Ripa did mention what went down in detail. There has been no lack of compliments for Seacrest. The mother of three has never lost the opportunity to praise Seacrest and has even called him a “best friend”. Unfortunately, the radio personality has decided to leave the show after careful consideration.
