It has been reported that TikTok is in the works of launching TikTok Notes, a new platform for photo sharing. This would then place them in direct competition with long time photo sharing leaders, Instagram.

This is not a new trend in the social media and tech spaces, though. Last year, Instagram extended its medium to compete with long time text social media platform, now known as X. A ChatGPT rival that claims to be able to police itself according to the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights has launched in the UK and U.S.

How Claude 2 Works

Claude 2, from artificial intelligence firm Anthropic, can parse and summarize large texts of up to 75,000 words. 

In a test here at Forbes Advisor, we used it to summarize a 58-page AXA policy wording document in five bullet points. It was able to point out what was and wasn’t covered by the policy, including the policyholder’s obligations under the contract.

Google Chrome rival Brave reports another big jump in users

Brave, the Chromium-based and privacy-focused browser, now has 50 million monthly active users. 

That total means user numbers have more than doubled from the 24 million it had at the end of 2020

To put Brave’s milestone in perspective, Google has billions of active users on Chrome, Android, iOS and Windows. Nonetheless, Brave has grown from a user base of 1.2 million in 2017 after launching in 2016: version 1.0 of the browser was released in November 2019.

In October 2021, Alibaba unveiled a new all-in-one (AIO) PC as part of its family of cloud-based computer products. The Wuying AIO PC follows the original Wuying, a tiny thin client that could sit comfortably in the palm of your hand and act as a gateway to Alibaba’s formidable cloud computing infrastructure.

A spokesperson for Alibaba has now provided us with more details on the newly-launched AIO, which doubles as a business PC. Two versions will be offered; one with a 23.8-inch full HD display and a Pro version with a larger 27-inch touchscreen display that offers a 2,560 x 1,440 resolution.

Chip giant Tachyum has launched a live production website powered by its home-brewed Prodigy processor, which can already run Artificial Intelligence (AI) and high-performance computing (HPC)  workloads.

The new website runs atop Tachyum’s software emulation system that powers a native Apache v2.4 web server on top of a native Linux kernel v5.10.
