Baltimore ‘unlikely’ to host 2026 NFL Draft; don’t rule out future drafts, though

After 50 years of New York City hosting the NFL Draft, the NFL broadened the location to various NFL cities in 2015. In that time, the draft has been moved around from Chicago, Philadelphia and Nashville to Detroit hosting the event next week. The Ravens, namely Team President Sashi Brown, have recently shared their desire to host the prestigious event; sadly, Ravens fans will have to wait to rock the house.

In a virtual interview with WMAR-2’s Shawn Stepner, NFL Executive VP of club business, international & league events Peter O’Reilly said it’s “unlikely” the Ravens will host the 2026 NFL Draft.

A German court did not rule that the measles virus doesn’t exist

An old myth that a German court ruled the measles virus does not exist has been spreading again on Facebook.

In particular, many posts have shared a screenshot of an article saying “the German Federal Supreme Court (BGH) confirmed in a recent ruling that measles virus do not exist” [sic].

This is not true, as other fact checkers have said before.

The article, which appears to originate on an activist website, concerns the case of Dr Stefan Lanka, who in 2011 offered a reward for proof that the measles virus existed.

Dr Lanka said (when translated by Google): “The prize money will be paid if a scientific publication is submitted in which the existence of the measles virus is not only claimed, but also proven and, among other things, its diameter is…

Brynn Whitfield’s top hosting rule translates to every home |

Brynn Whitfield knows how to party – but her hosting days stretch back long before she did it in front of a camera. The West Village it-girl and latest RHONY has spent years perfecting what it takes to throw a memorable dinner party (and afterparty, naturally), and her rules translate to every home.

The socialite recently partnered with CB2 to share her hosting secrets, and her tips come amid the most sociable point of the calendar. With two holidays in a short number of weeks, this is the time we see our homes at their full potential – but what if we’re working with a particularly small room

‘My grandmother taught me: Where there’s a will, there’s a way! In particularly small (and thus challenging) spaces such as mine, you must be both clever and creative,’ Brynn begins in an…

New book explores how the Tipperary Star shifted its position on support for Home Rule

The growth of the market for provincial newspapers was an inseparable part of the development of literacy in the later nineteenth and early twentieth century in Ireland.

In the early 1900s, weekly or bi-weekly papers such as the Tipperary Star supplied their readerships with information and advertising on the commercial, agricultural and cultural affairs of their local districts.

Many papers also sent reporters to cover the regular meetings of the various local elected bodies – county councils, district councils and poor law guardians – set up under the Local Government Act of 1898. With their columns of grey newsprint unrelieved by illustrations or photographs, these long and often detailed reports can be intimidating to approach nowadays.

But a perusal of their contents can…

A New Tax Rule To Impact Millions of Small Businesses in 2022

From January 1. 2022, all freelancers, independent contractors, and small business owners who sell various types of products and services will have to follow a new tax rule. As a part of this rule, the IRS will look into their digital payment service accounts, and they’ll need to account for those earnings on their tax returns. All those who accept credit card payments through PayPal, Venmo, Cash App, Zelle, or some other third-party provider, will have to report the income to the IRS.

Up until this new rule was settled, it was up to business owners and freelancers to report all the income they made by selling goods and services to customers, but now this will be under the legislation of the IRS. So, if you receive a minimum of $600 over the year, your payment service will have to…
