This event aims to assist veterans in applying for benefits, filing new claims, and completing disability claims, offering a valuable resource for those navigating the complexities of the process.

VA representatives will be present at the clinic to address various aspects of the claims process. Veterans attending the event can seek guidance on benefits, receive assistance filing new claims, and get help completing disability claims. Every four years, LGBTQ+ athletes from all around the world come together to participate in the Gay Games, a tournament first established to promote the acceptance and inclusion of queer people in sport. Since its inception, it has gone from strength to strength, with the 2023 edition making history by taking place in Asia for the first time, as Hong Kong shared hosting rights with Guadalajara in Mexico.

The Games began as the Gay Olympics, with the organising committee founded on June 15, 1980, by activist Tom Waddell and his friends Mark Brown and Paul Mart. Waddell himself competed as a decathlete in the 1968 Summer Olympics and he based much of his new endeavour on the model of the famous global sporting event.

Tina Fey and Amy Poehler announce shows in 2 San Francisco Bay Area cities – MSN

Good things come in pairs: two comedy legends, two Bay Area shows. 

Emmy-winning best pals Amy Poehler and Tina Fey are bringing their “Restless Leg Tour” to the Bay Area for back-to-back sets in San Francisco and Oakland early next year. 

The San Francisco show is scheduled to take place at the Masonic on Friday, Jan. 26, with the Oakland show coming a day later at the Paramount Theatre on Saturday, Jan. 27.

Fey and Poehler first met in the early 1990s while both were working in Chicago’s famed improv scene. The duo became “Saturday Night Live” royalty for their stint as co-hosts of the show’s “Weekend Update” segment and for their run during the 2008 election when Fey played Sarah Palin and Poehler portrayed Hillary Clinton.

Dobbertin, chef-owner of San Antonio’s Best Quality Daughter, and Hereford, owner of New Orleans’ award-winning eatery Turkey and the Wolf, will join forces with a collaborative light-bite menu on Tuesday, Sept. 12.
