Pat Sajak says upcoming ‘Wheel of Fortune’ season will be his last: ‘It’s been a wonderful ride’

The “Wheel of Fortune” host shared the news on Monday via social media.

Pat Sajak’s time as the host of “Wheel of Fortune” is coming to an end.

In a tweet he shared on Monday, the game show host, 76, said the upcoming 41st season will be his last.

“Well, the time has come,” Sajak said. “I’ve decided that our 41st season, which begins in September, will be my last. It’s been a wonderful ride, and I’ll have more to say in the coming months. Many thanks to you all.”

“Wheel of Fortune” also shared Sajak’s note on Instagram and captioned, “Thank you, Pat!”

Sajak has been the host of the game show since 1981. His co-host, Vanna White, 66, who operates the board and reveals letters as they are guessed by contestants on the game show, has been on “Wheel of Fortune” since 1982.

Mayim Bialik Won’t Host Finals Episodes of “Jeopardy!” Season 39 in Solidarity With WGA Strike

Mayim Bialik won’t be hosting the final week of this season’s “Jeopardy!” episodes in a show of solidarity with the Writers Guild of America strike.

Bialik was slated to host the final episodes of the show’s current season, which are expected to be filmed between May 16 and May 19. Her decision to abstain makes “Jeopardy!” one of the first game shows to be impacted by the ongoing writers strike. The show’s writers are some of thousands in Hollywood that have been striking since May 2 for a fair contract.

Michele Loud, one of the show’s writers, told Variety on May 6, “There is no ‘Jeopardy!’ without writers. Without us, it’s just an empty blue screen.”

Tulip Garden closed for visitors after having been visited by record-breaking number of tourists this year during the one-month show.While speaking to ANI on April 21, Director of Floriculture Kashmir, Farooq Ahmad Rather said, “Last year around 3.62 lakh tourists came here. This time it was opened on March 19 and around 3.75 lakh tourists came here. Out of 3.75 lakhs, more than 3 lakh tourists came from outside J&K.” Three lakhs eighty thousand visitors visited the world-famous and Asia’s largest Tulip garden, indicating a good tourist season for Kashmir this year.
