Enshrouded is designed to be played with your friends. Exploring Embervale with others makes it a little easier to stay alive among the world’s natural landscape and the monsters that inhabit it. You’re able to set up a private server for yourself or even a public server with up to 16 friends. We broke down how to set up a server in Enshrouded for the next time you want to jump in with your friends.

How To Set Up A Server in Enshrouded

To join your own server on a different PC, follow these instructions:

1. Install the Enshrouded Dedicated Server in Steam’s Tools section of your Library.
2. In Steam, go to the Enshrouded Dedicated Server Tool’s properties and access the files.
3. Open the tool and then close it out.
4. Once closed, use Notepad…

Enshrouded Server Browser Crashing

As of early launch, the Enshrouded Server Browser is currently experiencing issues, causing crashes every time it is loaded. A hotfix has been made available, but there are still issues with server visibility.

Do You Need a Dedicated Server?

There are 2 main Enshrouded Server options. The first would be to host a dedicated server, either yourself or via a third party like G-Portal (affiliate link, gives 10% off server creation costs). The second is to make a standard multiplayer world that only runs when you’re playing.
