A video being shared online claims to show a cyclist catching Akshata Murty, Rishi Sunak’s wife, using Instagram while driving. But the woman in the video is not Ms Murty. 

In the footage, a cyclist asks a driver whether she’d been using Instagram and she appears to nod in response. The cyclist says he will send the footage to the police and adds: “Don’t use your phone alright”. 

The clip has been shared with the caption: “Rishi Sunak wife caught using mobile phone scanning Instagram whilst driving [sic]” and has more than 500 shares on Facebook. Comments on the post indicate many users believe the video does show Ms Murty, including: “Bloody rules for the masses. Sian Welby has shared an insight into her recent This Morning debut, branding it the ‘best week of her life’.

The Capital Breakfast presenter, 37, joined Dermot O’Leary to co-host the ITV show amid claims smitten bosses had declared her the ‘next Holly Willoughby’.

Sian was quizzed about the four-day stint by colleague Roman Kemp, 31, on Wednesday as she returned to her regular job on the radio.  

Telling listeners: ‘Honestly, probably the best week of my life! I was on This Morning, I can’t believe they sort of gave me the reins to co-host with Dermot O’Leary who I’ve been watching for most of my life, X Factor, Big Brother, he’s a legend,’ 

‘So for me it was quite nerve wracking because you’re stepping into a show that everyone knows and loves and has their favourites’.

Sadly, for those who have aligned themselves with Mayim Bialik’s question-asking skills on Jeopardy!, it was announced at the tail end of 2023 that she wouldn’t be returning to the show at all, with Ken Jennings becoming the permanently single host of the program. Sharing her side of the story with her Instagram goodbye, Bialik’s mid-December post stated that Sony, the studio behind the fan-favorite game show, had essentially cut her contract, firing her from the syndicated series.
