Pete Davidson is returning to ‘SNL’ to host the show for the 1st time ever

Pete Davidson is returning to “Saturday Night Live.”

In a tweet April 15, “SNL” shared the news that Davidson will serve as host on May 6, making it his first time as host of the late-night sketch comedy series. The “SNL” alum will be joined by Lil Uzi Vert, who will be that week’s musical guest.

Davidson was a cast member on the show for eight seasons until he announced he was leaving in May 2022.

Since leaving the show, Davidson has been focusing more on his acting career. He appeared in Machine Gun Kelly’s movie, “Good Mourning,” and acted alongside Kaley Cuoco in their film, “Meet Cute.”

Chris Evans is avoiding hosting ‘SNL’ ‘like the plague’

Chris Evans said the thought of hosting “Saturday Night Live” is “terrifying,” and there’s a reason he has avoided it for so many years.

The Marvel actor, 41, is starring in the upcoming romantic comedy “Ghosted” with frequent collaborator Ana de Armas, who is guest-hosting “SNL” on April 15.

The pair spoke to ET Canada recently and the Boston native admitted that he’s too nervous to appear on an episode of the sketch comedy show.

“Well, now, a cameo I can handle,” Evans said, when asked if he would ever appear on the NBC series.

“I’ve avoided hosting ‘SNL’ like the plague for years now just because I’m so scared. It’s terrifying to me,” he added. “A cameo sounds great — that’s perfect.”

Quinta Brunson, the Emmy-winning creator and star of Abbott Elementary, will make her hosting debut on Saturday Night Live on April 1, with Lil Yatchy as the episode’s musical guest.

As Black Twitter royalty, Brunson’s debut is particularly special, with her blossoming over the years from a viral meme into an award-winning comedic phenom.
