Former BBC Breakfast star Victoria Valentine has been showered with masses of congratulatory messages after she shared an update on her career, this after exiting the programme a year ago now.

The ex-BBC presenter took to Instagram in June to announce a new venture as a trustee of the Eden Project, after leaving broadcast to pursue academic studies in psychological sciences. Victoria took to Instagram to update her loyal legion on new developments and penned: “Rapid climate change, increasing sea levels, rising temperatures, biodiversity loss, deforestation and pollution. The planet is in a state of emergency. If the planet’s health is threatened, so is ours.”

Olympics host Matt Baker sent messages of support as he shares 'sad' family news

Olympics presenter Matt Baker has been inundated with support after announcing that his pet Labrador Annie had passed away. The 46-year-old former host of The One Show shared the news in a post on Instagram on Sunday, August 11.

Sharing a series of photos of Annie, Matt said: “Sad to say we’ve said our goodbyes to Annie, our beautiful Lab. She helped me and Nicola raise our kids and we owe her so much – just pleased we were all with her at home.

“I’m sure you’ll agree the reason we all love our dogs so much is because the only time they break our hearts is when they leave us.”
