The competition returned on May 8 with six contestants vying for a $500,000 win and the Trek Trophy named in memory of former late host Alex Trebek. It was another winning evening for Bauer Media Audio UK at last night’s prestigious ARIAS awards when, for the second year running, Clyde 1 took home Gold as they won The John Myers Station of the Year Award. It was one of four Gold awards on the night for Bauer teams as Magic, Absolute Radio and Pulse 1’s Breakfast Show also received golden recognition.

Handed the award by Greatest Hits Radio’s Ken Bruce, the Clyde 1 team kicked off a night of success which saw Mylo & Rosie’s Pulse 1 Breakfast Show named Best Local Show, with Forth 1 and Hits Radio Scotland’s The Big Saturday Football Show also taking home Bronze in this category.  The Big Saturday Football Show then went one better, awarded Silver in Best Sports…

Helen Skelton will reportedly take over hosting Strictly’s It Takes Two.

The news comes after Rylan Clark stepped down from hosting the show after four years.

He confirmed the news last week.

“After four fantastic years it’s time for me to hang up my glittery jacket and say goodbye to It Takes Two.

“I’ve had the best time hosting the show alongside Janette and Zoe and I can’t thank the amazing team enough for always putting on a great show.

Former X Factor star said he will always be close to his Strictly family.

“The time has come for me to pass on the baton to someone else and explore what else life has for me.

“Thank you Strictly, you will always have my heart… and dancing feet.”

Daniel Radcliffe has spoken up for the trans community yet again.

On Wednesday, March 29, LGBTQ+ nonprofit the Trevor Project revealed that the Harry Potter star will host a roundtable of trans youth in a new YouTube series. The program is titled Sharing Space and will be released on Friday, March 31, on the Transgender Day of Visibility.

“We listen to so many people talk about trans youth and hear them talked about so often in the news, but very rarely do we actually hear from these youth directly,” said the actor. “It was an absolute privilege to get to meet and listen to this incredible group of young people.”
