Pokémon Go fans are prepping up for an exciting Community Day featuring Slowpoke and its Galarian variant on March 18th. Just a few days after it’s over, trainers will be roped into another event, as Professor Willow is conducting some wild research.

Between March 21st and 29th, Niantic will host a Let’s GO! Event in Pokémon Go. Field Research will be dominated by Pansage, Pansear, and Pampour, and Shiny versions may appear in the wild for lucky individuals as well. 

A Pokémon to look out for during this event is Meltan. The only way to get your hands on this Pokémon is through Mystery Boxes. It will be granted after sending a Pokémon from Pokémon Go either to Pokémon Home or one of the Nintendo Switch titles – Let’s Go, Pikachu! or Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee!

The Ballston Spa softball team hopes that this weekend’s installment of its annual Grand Slam Tournament will bring awareness to another worthy cause.

The Grand Slam event has been dedicated to the fight against ALS since 2016. This year, the event will be dedicated to suicide awareness and menthal health support.

“One of our players, her father suffered from ALS and we wanted to support her and that cause,” Ballston Spa softball coach Amanda Fifield said. “Then, a family within our program was impacted by the the loss of someone due to suicide. We want to make a donation in their honor, and promote the awareness that there’s help out there for you.”

Google Cloud has announced a new, dedicated Digital Assets Team within Google Cloud to build, transact, store value, and deploy products on blockchain-based platforms. The new team will build on Google’s existing work with blockchain developers, exchanges, and other companies in this space.

Currently, blockchain and distributed-ledger-based companies like Hedera, Theta Labs, and Dapper Labs are built on top of Google Cloud for scalability, flexibility, and security. Moving forward, Google Cloud’s Digital Assets Team will undertake short and long term initiatives to support companies in the digital assets/blockchain ecosystem.
