Collar City Pride hosting Town Hall to discuss local needs – Troy Record

TROY, N.Y. — Collar City Pride will host a Town Hall on Saturday, Sep. 14, at the Troy Public Library, 100 2nd St., Downtown Troy, the organization announced in a press release.

The event will run from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and is open to the public with a virtual participation option.

The Town Hall will provide an opportunity for community members to discuss the needs of queer individuals and trends in substance use, according to the release. The program will include an overview of Collar City Pride’s mission and values and an open forum for feedback on future programming and services.

Masks will be provided and are required for in-person attendees. Snacks and beverages will also be available. Virtual attendance details will be shared upon registration.

Lansingburgh football bridges the gap through hosting Troy pop warner practice – Troy Record

TROY, N.Y. — Over 100 players, ages 5-11, from the Troy Patriots Pop Warner program attended a practice hosted by the Lansingburgh High School football program on Tuesday night.

Run by the pop warner organization’s President, as well as head coach of the 11U team, Peter Allen, and alongside members of the upcoming Lansingburgh varsity and junior varsity football teams, the young Patriots went through stretches, drills, and other football workouts, alongside their gridiron role models.
