‘Hezbollah drone video’ actually shows Ukrainian drone targeting Russian oil refinery – Full Fact

A video shared on social media with claims it shows Israel’s Iron Dome missile defence system failing to intercept a Hezbollah drone actually shows a Ukrainian drone targeting an oil refinery in Tuapse, Russia, earlier this year.

One post on X, formerly Twitter, is captioned: “Video shows Israel’s Iron Dome failing to intercept Hezbollah’s drone as it makes its way to pound a regime’s power plant in northern occupied territories.”

On November 11-12, Kyiv will host first all-Ukrainian festival dedicated to Day of Ukrainian Winemaker

On the occasion of the annual celebration of the Ukrainian Winemaker’s Day and in order to support and popularize domestic wine producers, the capital will host the first Winemaker’s Day festival, which will feature products from all over Ukraine. The event will showcase both the ancient traditions and the modern approach of Ukrainian winemaking.

“In recent years, Ukrainian wine production has begun to revive largely thanks to small wineries and wine tourism. But the war has slowed this process to a large extent. One of the ways to stimulate the country’s economy to recover is to hold events that will help popularize domestic producers among consumers,” says Volodymyr Pechko, CEO of UKRSADVINPROM.

“Most major wine-producing countries support their producers and…

Old video of fight in Ukrainian parliament re-emerges on social media

A video shared on X (formerly known as Twitter) showing a fight in the Ukrainian parliament, alongside a hashtag referencing Ukraine’s war with Russia, was actually filmed in 2010.

The footage was also posted on Facebook alongside a caption which says: “Ukrainian Parliament. That money is sure working. Protecting democracy one cheque at a time lol”.

While this appears to refer to financial aid sent to Ukraine by various countries following Russia’s invasion of the country in February 2022, the video was filmed more than a decade ago.

The footage actually shows a fight that broke out in Ukraine’s parliament on 27 April 2010, reportedly over a vote to allow Russia to continue using a naval port in Crimea.
