A photo appearing to show French President Emmanuel Macron kissing a man is a still from an AI-generated video.

The picture has been viewed six million times on X (formerly Twitter) and has also been shared on Facebook. It often appears with the caption: “BREAKING: New photos appear to show French President Emmanuel Macron kissing a man and being fruity as hell.”

Although the picture of the kiss looks pretty convincing, the pause and volume buttons and progress bar visible at the bottom of many versions of the image indicate it comes from a video. Some versions of the claim being shared online also include this video.

Video of Keir Starmer being ‘kicked out’ of a pub is actually from April 2021 – Full Fact

A video of Sir Keir Starmer being thrown out of a pub has been shared on social media as if it were recent.

Posts featuring the video shared on X, formerly Twitter, and Facebook, are captioned: “An absolute HERO kicks new British PM Keir Starmer out of his pub! This is EXACTLY how you deal with these ZIONISTS!” 

But the video is actually from April 2021, when Mr Starmer was Leader of the Opposition. A BBC report said the landlord in the video “was unhappy with Labour’s response to government lockdown measures”. There is no mention of Zionists or Zionism.

Video claimed to show Iran coverage of Paris Olympics is satirical clip from 2013 – Full Fact

A video is being shared widely on social media with a false claim it shows genuine coverage of Paris Olympic events being censored on Iranian broadcasts.

In the footage being shared, women are shown competing in events, including high jump, hurdles, and diving, with parts of their body obscured by superimposed black rectangles and stars.

But the clip, which has been circulating on Facebook and X (formerly Twitter), with the caption: “this is how Iran broadcasts the Olympics”, is not a genuine Iranian broadcast of the Olympics.

It comes from a 2013 satirical video, which can be seen on the YouTube channel of a Farsi-language satire show OnTen

Video claimed to show impact of ‘immigrants’ in Germany is of post-Euros match mess

A video is being shared online with a caption claiming that it shows the “consequences” of “mass immigration” to Germany.

In the clip, people can be seen walking through the historic Römerberg square in Frankfurt, which is strewn with litter and bottles.

The video, which is circulating on X (formerly Twitter) and Facebook, appears to be genuine and several other sources show the same scene. But a caption saying: “Not sure how long Frankfurt will survive the consequences of mass immigration”, that accompanies the footage in some posts, is misleading.

The video is unconnected to migration to Germany.

It actually shows the aftermath of a UEFA European Football Championship match between Denmark and England, which took place in the city on 20 June.
