Willoughby Public Library hosting two college planning workshops – News-Herald

Willoughby Public Library announced that it will be hosting two college planning workshops on Sept. 19.

“Exploring Lakeland Community College Resources” will take place at 5:30 p.m. Grace Bakos of Lakeland Community College will provide an overview of programs and services available to students considering post-secondary education options, according to a news release.

She will discuss partnership programs with four-year colleges and opportunities to transfer credits. Grace also will be available to meet with students and their families to answer questions.

Then, “College Planning Workshop – How to Lower Costs” will be held at 6:30 p.m. Jennifer Harpham, director of Financial Aid for My College Planning Team, will offer a college planning workshop for parents of students in…

Sian Welby has shared an insight into her recent This Morning debut, branding it the ‘best week of her life’.

The Capital Breakfast presenter, 37, joined Dermot O’Leary to co-host the ITV show amid claims smitten bosses had declared her the ‘next Holly Willoughby’.

Sian was quizzed about the four-day stint by colleague Roman Kemp, 31, on Wednesday as she returned to her regular job on the radio.  

Telling listeners: ‘Honestly, probably the best week of my life! I was on This Morning, I can’t believe they sort of gave me the reins to co-host with Dermot O’Leary who I’ve been watching for most of my life, X Factor, Big Brother, he’s a legend,’ 

‘So for me it was quite nerve wracking because you’re stepping into a show that everyone knows and loves and has their favourites’.

Emma Willis is now the frontrunner according to bookmakers to step into Holly Willoughby’s This Morning presenting role, following her impressive appearance on Monday’s show.

The seasoned presenter commenced the week alongside Rylan Clark, a familiar face from their collaboration five years ago on the recently revived reality show, Big Brother.

Emma, 47, previously hosted Big Brother during its previous run on Channel 5, while Rylan, 35, fronted the sister show Bit On The Side. The duo has also co-hosted This Morning in the past.

NTA host Joel Dommett has thrown his support behind This Morning’s Alison Hammond as he weighed in on Holly Willoughby’s award snub.

The comedian, 38, will be hosting the National Television Awards for the third time in a row if all goes to plan next week. Joel is expecting his first child with wife Hannah Cooper, but the awards ceremony is “fairly soon to the due date”, which could see him pull out of the show. Even if Joel’s NTA stint doesn’t go to plan, he is already eyeing up another presenting gig.

Holly Willoughby is taking an unannounced break from This Morning, with Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary stepping in to host the programme this week. 

A summer break is nothing new for Holly, who usually takes seven weeks off presenting the ITV daytime each year over the school holidays, but she usually says farewell to viewers. 

This time though, Holly did not address her exit on-screen and last Thursday, she signed off without mentioning the fact she won’t be back until September, notes The Sun
